<바른 자세 / 거북목>

During my high school years, I started to get a tingling sensation in my hands. I went to an orthopedic clinic(정형외과) and took Xrays. I was diagnosed with something called forward head posture(일자목 자세)  If it got any worse, it could become turtle neck syndrome(거북목 증후군)

I started to adjust my neck posture every night when I went to bed. Amaazingly, the sensation of pins and needles in my hands went away once my neck posture improved.

In my 30s, my lower back started to act up. My lifestyle involves sitting hunched over a lot, which is really bad for the lower back. I am trying to maintain good posture before the pain gets worse. When I sitn in a chair, I keep my hips to the back of the seat. I try to keep my back straight as I work.

Even so, my posture falls apart whenever I really focus on my work. That's why I have left post-its everywhere I look, with the words "good posture" written on them.

* My wrist starts to act up if I type for too long.
* It's easier to maintain good posture if you wear comfortable clothes.
* I didn't give it much thought at first. 처음에는 그리 크게 신경 쓰지 않았다.
* start to act up 아프기 시작하다.
* posture: 자세, 가식적으로 행동하다, 허세를 부리다.

<마스크 쓰는 생활>

It has been almost 3 years since COVID-19 swept the globe. We have all grown accustomed to wearing a mask. It has gotten to the pont where kids born after the spread of COVID feel weird about not wearing a mask. One person I know said that their child was so surprised by people without their masks that he burst into tears.

People around me say that not wearing a mask feels like they are missing an article of clothing. If I think about it, wearing a mask covers for me when I sleep with my mouth open or even drool in the subway during my somethimes nice to hide my facial expressions.

Someday, COVID-19 will finally be behind us, and everyone will take off their masks. On the one hand, I can't wait for that day. But on the other, I feel like it will really feel awkward.

* get to the point where ~하는 지경에 이르다.
* finally be behind someone 마침내 끝나가다(지나가다)

We get along well because we share a sense of humor.
I feel the generation gap when I hear which graduating class he was in for class he was in for college. It really hit home.
* really hit home 실감나다
It's easy to lose track of the time here because there are no windows.
